Description:
The urban biodiversity program is an initiative promoted by the Municipality of Providencia as part of its environmental education strategy, with the aim of executing a series of educational and participatory activities to promote the valuation and conservation of urban biodiversity In the commune of Providencia. The program seeks to sensitize the community about the importance of local flora and fauna, promoting practices of citizen observation, monitoring and habitat construction for pollinators and birds.The program is a continuity of anide houses, a program with a program with 9 years of execution, and is framed within the sustainability axes of the 2022-2027 Community Development Plan, contributing to the strengthening of a greener, resilient and conscious city of its natural environment. With this initiative, Providencia reaffirms its commitment to environmental education, citizen participation and the integration of biodiversity in the design and management of its public spaces.
