Description:
The main objective of this public proposal is the purchase of surgical interventions service of cardiac surgeries, in order to strengthen the resolutive capacity of the Dr. Hernan Henriquez Aravena hospital, reference center for high complexity cardiovascular pathologies Extreme south of Chile. Therefore, it seeks to guarantee the timely, equitable and safe access to surgical benefits of GES and Non GES, with diagnoses that require cardiac surgery, including cases of vital emergency and derivations from other establishments of the public network, such as the hospitals of Valdivia, Osorno, Puerto Montt and Chiloe, as well as patients referred to the National Health Fund (FONASA). Likewise, the high accumulated and growing demand for this type of surgery has exceeded the installed capacity of the establishment, both in terms of Infrastructure such as availability of human resources, which has generated critical waiting lists that compromise the physical condition and quality of life of patients. This is why the lack of timely response can lead to acute decompensations, functional deterioration, increase of mortality and higher costs associated with the treatment of preventable complications.
