Description:
The main objective of this proposal is the purchase of sample transport services, screening and report of screening results of Pap smears, focused on the early detection of cervical cancer and other cervical -related conditions. In this sense, the lackFrom these services or breach of the established deadlines could result in a late detection of cervical cancer, which would affect the opportunity of the treatment and increase the associated risks, as well as the load for the health system. Currently, the pathological anatomy serviceYou must process approximately 5,000 PAP exams monthly, of which only 40% can be informed by institutional personnel. In addition, it is estimated that this year the examination gap will increase by 1,000 monthly determinations, since Dr. Hernan Henriquez hospital is the only one in the networkAraucania Sur assistance that performs this benefit. However, the hospital does not have sufficient staff of medical technologists and specialist doctors to cover the gap of the requested exams. Therefore, without these services, it would not be possible to respond to the demand forApproximately 36,000 PAP per year.
