Description: The University requires the acquisition of DNA portable sequencer. The latest generation DNA sequencing equipment, or NGS mass sequencing, are highly sophisticated equipment since they are designed to obtain millions of readings sequences of variable size DNA bases, which as a whole represent the entire genome organism. Within NGS sequencing technologies, one of the most novel and promising is nanoporos -based sequencing. This sequencing methodology implies staining monocatenary DNA strands through very tiny pores in a membrane. DNA bases read one at a time as they pass adjustly through the Nanoporo. The bases are identified by measuring the differences in the effect they produce on the ions and the electric current that flows through pore. The use of nanoporos to sequence DNA offers many possible advantages compared to other ngs sequencing methods.
