Description: Anesthesia's nduction in adults: Unprofile is indicated as an agent inhaled for the induction of anesthesia in ambulatory or non-ambulatory surgery in adults. The use of defluran is not recommended for the induction of anesthesia in pediatric patients due to the high incidence of moderate to severe adverse events in higher respiratory tract. Maintenance of anesthesia: Deflurane is indicated as an agent inhaled for the maintenance of anesthesia in ambulatory or non-ambulatory surgery in adults and pediatric patients. After the induction of anesthesia with agents other than deflaturane and tracheal intubation, defluran is indicated for the maintenance of anesthesia in infants and children. Darflurane is not approved for the maintenance of anesthesia in children not intubated due to the highest incidence of respiratory adverse reactions, including cough, laryngospasms and an increase in secretions.
